The conceptual idea behind this work originates from several factors. The unique quality of the fibre has enabled manipulation of the dyed and knitted pieces into sculptures using applied heat techniques. Some of the ice qualities discovered have also allowed further development into ideas using cryogenics and the presentation of the human body after death through freezing.
A collection of hangings have been produced that look both organic in form but also display man made construction and origin. These pieces are appearing in a number of regional exhibitions during 2002 and further development of these concepts is planned to forge a path towards achieving pieces of 'creative realism'.
